GAF QuickMeasure
Aerial roof measurement reports from GAF, the largest US shingle manufacturer.
GAF QuickMeasure is an aerial roof measurement report service: a contractor submits a property address and receives a PDF report with roof area, pitches, edge/ridge/hip/valley footage, and a bill of materials — usually in under an hour for single-family. It is a measurement utility, not a proposal builder or CRM, and is typically paired with one. The product launched in June 2021 and is a GAF-branded wrapper around a third-party measurement engine.
Beacon PRO+ added direct QuickMeasure ordering in October 2024 and ServiceTitan embedded it as its preferred measurement service in 2025.
What's included
Measurement → Proposal → CRM coverageQuickMeasure stops at the measurement report — you still need a separate tool to turn that PDF into a proposal you can send a homeowner, and a CRM to track the deal. Artemis covers measurement → AI design → proposal → e-signed contract in one flow.
How fast a contractor can go from initial measurement to a polished, sendable proposal in front of the homeowner.
Usability of the mobile experience in the field — measuring, quoting, photo capture, and customer signature on a phone or tablet.
How clearly the vendor publishes its pricing. Per-proposal, flat, or seat-based pricing all score higher than hidden, sales-gated pricing.
How quickly a new contractor can go from sign-up to first proposal sent — measured in minutes, hours, or days.
Quality and responsiveness of human support — measured through published response-time SLAs, support channels, and customer-reported experience.
What stood out.
- Lowest per-report price among major aerial-measurement vendors, starting at ~$18
- Sub-1-hour turnaround for single-family residential is consistently cited in vendor content and contractor reviews
- No subscription, no minimum, no GAF certification gate — fully pay-as-you-go
- Distribution-channel integration: reports orderable directly from Beacon PRO+, myABCsupply, and ServiceTitan
- Stated 95% accuracy, in the same range as the dominant aerial-measurement benchmark
- No ESX export for Xactimate — a real dealbreaker for the >30%-insurance-restoration segment
- Measurement only — must be paired with a CRM/quoting tool to actually sell a job
- Prepaid-wallet billing requires loading funds in advance, which App Store reviewers flag as a minor friction
- App stability issues are reported in App Store reviews — errors that persist through logout, reinstall, and device changes
- Sparse independent review coverage — no robust G2 page, limited Capterra presence; cross-validation is weak
